Join us for a fun, peaceful bike ride and rally as we head to Senator Jeff Merkley's Portland office to urge him to publicly oppose the Save our Bacon Act (SOBA). With Farm Bill negotiations stalled, we have a critical window to stop SOBA—a bill that threatens over 600 state and local animal protection laws. We’re riding to urge Senator Merkley to issue an individual public statement opposing SOBA. We’ll meet at Ladd's Circle Park at 11:30 AM and roll out at noon to arrive at 12:30 PM for the 1:00 rally. This is an easy, casual-pace, no-drop ride! We’ll be pumping fun animal-themed tunes along the route to keep the energy high. Costumes are highly encouraged—especially inflatable pig costumes! If you want to grab one, check out this Inflatable Pig Costume on Amazon. https://a.co/d/0iRdCC3s We'll have shirts and pre-made signs for you at the rally.
