Merkins are a vivacious way to celebrate period undergarments! Join us for a ride in the sun, celebrating the wind in our skirts. We will stop for tea and crumpets at several parks on this afternoon ride. What is a Merkin? A Merkin is a pubic wig. Merkins were frequently worn in the 1700's by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia due to lice or Mercury treatments, and are now used as decorative items by both men and women. There will be 25 locally made, thong style merkins provided as gifts at the ride start. They can be worn a la carte or over your current undergarments.
