Bowie Bike Ride (that is not on his Birthday in freezing January!) Need I say more . . . No, but if you want to know a little more here here ya go: BOWIE! With no more Prince vs. Bowie, we've been having birthday rides for each of them. Prince's Birthday falls in June (6/7/1958) often during Pedalpalooza. But David Bowie's is in January (1/8/1947) which means only the most Hard-Core Bowie Fans and Cyclist brave the icy temperatures, rain, wind (& even the many inches of snow we had on his 70th Birthday!) We're constantly asked, "What about a Bowie Ride? Please just have one when it is nice out/during Pedalpalooza!", so here ya go! It'll be a really short, easy ride up to his bike lane by the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and then down for a dance party following the Prince Purple Rain 35th Anniversary sing-a-long at Pioneer Courthouse Square David Bowie is Dead, Long Live David Bowie . . .
